We called them out for a $63 service call. Thought it was ok, since the $$ would go toward the fix. Our water heater was leaking out the bottom, so we knew we'd need a new one installed. He showed us the pricing, it would be $1600 for a new water heater and the install. I asked what the installation price was, he said $800. So I asked how long it would take. He said 4 hours. He said no matter if it's an easy or difficult install, it's standard ... always $800 for everyone. We also told him that it should still be under warranty. The date is clearly marked on the water heater. He said, well, you never know what they're going to say and he proceeded to try and sell us his. I quickly called a friend while my husband asked him more questions (stalling). She had one installed a year prior. For a new water heater (10 gals more than ours) and the install it was $850. We paid the George Brazil guy the $63 and called my friend's plumber. Turns out we did get a free water heater because ours was still under warranty, so it cost us less than $200 for the plumber to install it. DO NOT CALL GEORGE BRAZIL!!! I guess they need us to pay for their commercials!! SCAMMERS!!! If you want a great, reliable plumber, call JMV Plumbing. I highly recommend them!
